Indonesia: TotalEnergies DG Completes Construction of PV Solar Rooftops for Chandra Asri Petrochemical

Cilegon, Indonesia, 29 October 2019 – TotalEnergies Distributed Generation (DG) provides solar-powered rooftops for Chandra Asri’s facility in Cilegon, Indonesia, driving down power costs and carbon footprint in a sustainable way. The project will have a capacity to generate over 934.5 megawatt-hours of renewable electricity a year, covering around 15% of Chandra Asri’s power needs.

Equipped with more than 2,200 solar panels, the installation of the solar PV system will allow an annual reduction of 644 tons of CO2. The project is among the first no capex1 projects in the country and will consolidate the partnership[2] between TotalEnergies and Chandra Asri.
